Archives of developpment of Tim and Geoff Follin are preserved

-

Even if you see 3 inc disks on this tweet by Kevin Edwards, they were used on a Tatung Einstein TC-01 computer. But they hold the development archives of the brothers Tim and Geoff Follin (with their agreement of course) for C64 but also for Amstrad CPC and ZX Spextrum.

On this github page, you will be able of course to download the content of the disks (music and player code source) but also an historic of the preservation of these data which were done in two steps first by Dean Belfield then by Kevin Edwards. Sadly Geoff Follin leaved us in May 2024 due to a cancer.

Génération Amstrad CPC, a book by Patrick Hellio edited by Pix'n Love

-

Génération Amstrad CPC is a book written by Patrick Hellio edited by Pix'n Love.

It's a big book, A4 format with no less than 538 pages. Indeed you must do some muscle work before being able to read a book about Amstrad CPC computers. I can't give an opinion about the book as I couldn't order it before. It is available as a limited edition on Pix'n Love web site, simply in a french library shop or on Amazon.fr if you don't live in France. The photo below is of the limited edition of our BND 4 nice organizer.

Ghostship Delgado, an Amstrad CPC adventure game by Tony Kingsmill (Loftcat Software)

-

Ghostship Delgado is an adventure game written with the Quill utility by Tony Kingsmill (Loftcat Software), in two parts. The game is free on Itch.io with detailed instructions and some optional additional content available for only 2 dollars.

Take on the role of George Pike, a happy go lucky chap renting a yacht on the holiday of his lifetime in the 1960s. George is accompanied by his partner, sleeping on the lower deck, and Ruffles, George's trusty dog.

While dozing off to sleep in the sunshine of the upper deck you awake to find yourself on the quarter deck of a mysterious, seemingly abandoned historic ship.

Only Ruffles the dog and the clothes you are wearing appear to be the same. You begin to survey your surroundings you immediately notice a stillness in the air, and no-one in sight.

Yet the ship appears to be far out to sea with no land in sight. You call out in hope that someone may hear you but to no avail.

Ruffles begins to sniff, circling with his nose to the deck. Has he smelt something ?

Can you discover why George arrived here? Can you find a way off the ship and back to your yacht and partner? And will Ruffles safely make it along with you ?
