Defender of the Crown (the legend returns) is available now for several platforms (PC, PS5, Xbox). it features three distinct modes (retro, classic and kingdom). Conquer provinces, raise armies, storm castles, and influence the balance of power through bold strategy and action moments. Olivier Poncet is the author of an Amstrad CPC emulator : Xcpc v0.53 for Linux, BSD and Unix. It doesn't emulate the Plus and GX4000 though.

This v0.53 version v0.53 bings a new OpenGL engine with CRT emulation, support of ZIPped .DSK images, AppImage, better PSG and FDC compatibility and minor corrections/ameliorations.

And also quite interesting, he has released in 2024 AYM JS which is a sound chip emulator written in JavaScript emulating the AY-3-8910 PSG (Programmable Sound Generator) and the YM2149 SSG (Software-Controlled Sound Generator). You can test AYM JS here (press the Power button and the Play button). At the moment YM files must be converted to javascript (but the conversion tool isn't available yet), but direct support of YM files is on the way.

Xecutor is at the start a shoot them up on ZX Spectrum by Cybadyne in 1987. Today Enrique G. Gálvez has ported Xecutor on Amstrad PCW (available on PCWWiki. You can play it solo or with a friend, it supports joystick with the hardware expansion DK'Sound (by DK'Tronics) and as usual colour support with the CP/M Box emulator by HabiSoft.

Version 1.01 brings increased spped and support of the 16 colors mode 3 of the PCW+.

Target Renegade is an Amstrad PCW(+) action game in 1988 by Mike LAMB (programmation), Dawn DRAKE (graphics) and Gary BIASILLO (music), with a cover by Bob WAKELIN. It was edited by Imagine Software (a label by Ocean Software).

Enrique G. Gálvez has released Target Renegade v1.01 for Amstrad PCW(+) in 4 colors modes which are available with these two emulators : CP/M Box and ZEsarUX, music and effects with the Dk'Sound, joystick support and two players available.

Version 1.01 features :

• Significant speed improvement
• Added Mode 3 with 16 colors
• Fixed bug that caused the game to crash after several matches
• Minor improvements to the start menu

Disk Image Manager v2.12.0 by Damien Guard is an application for examining and manipulating disk images in the Standard and Extended DSK format used by many ZX Spectrum, Amstrad PCW and CPC emulators.

Dmanu has just released a light version of his Amstrad CPC emulator Amspirit : Amspirit Lite in 64bit for Linux (soon Raspberry PI too), Windows and MacOS. Amspirit Lite is also available on his Github.

The Amstrad CPC emulator 1984 by Salvogendut is available as version 0.4.18. This version adds real tape input, output, monitoring and conversion.

Starglider Plus Edition is an Amstrad PCW(+) conversion of this classic game by Enrique G. Gálvez. It's bootable, manual-base copy protection removed, speed upgraded. DK Sound (sampled Atari ST music theme and AY music and sound effects), mode 1 in 4 colors.

The lastest Amstrad CPC game by Snauts is a platform game : Liezere. It's ice fishing simulation game based on real life in the 1990s. The game also exists for ZX Spectrum.
