Logo is a programming language (logo history, a dialect of LISP) which can be found on Amstrad CPC 664 and 6128 on its CP/M disks. His creator the professor Emeritus Seymour Papert dies at 88 (other authors of logo : Daniel G. Bobrow, Wally Feurzeig and Cynthia Solomon).

One year before his death (1994), the creator of CP/M, Gary Kildall, had written his memoirs : Computer Connections: People, Places, and Events in the Evolution of the Personal Computer Industry, but only available for his family and friends. It's now available for all and for free (see link just above, at the end of the article).

Golden Tails is a mostly finished platform game for Amstrad CPC by Juan Martinez (Reidrac). The game is inspired by Japanese folklore.

ACE v1.12 by Philippe Rimauro is an Amstrad CPC emulator for MorphOS.

This new version fixes some issues in CRTC emulation (mostly on CRTC 0/2 since CRTC 1/3/4 are already almost perfect 8) ). It also extends the plugins API and comes with new plugins for mice and joysticks.

Retro Game Asset Studio (RGAS) v1.2.1 by Lachlank is the next evolution of Amsprite (now defunct). Using .NET, you can create graphics, sound/music levels for Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64.

New features :

• Check for newer versions at startup
• Export level to bitmap
• Level designer list now supports same functions as sprite list (copy, re-order etc).
• Option to generate level data in RLE (Run Length Encoding) format
• Option to output width/height bytes at beginning of sprite data (supports 8BP library/framework 8 bits de poder)

Dorgams is an assembler in ROM for Amstrad CPC, created by Madram, Drill and Hicks. A new version is available.

Heroes Rescue is a new game which will be released in two days on 13th August. It is coded by Javy Fernandez (Defecto Digital Studios).
